Father's Moon Album

selected works

Framed stamp album pages with a collection of postage stamps with the image of the moon. The stamp album was made in the mid-90s as part of the scenography for the film “Deer Room” by Lech Majewski. It contained almost 400 stamps, often collected in series. “I worked mainly on the computer, being a total beginner in this medium back then, I scanned a little, drew a little, combined samples from different epochs, typography is also an important component here. All of them were then printed and photocopied in colour for amplification (which is related to Fulgurites, even the machine was exactly the same). My whole family punched the paper around the prints with needles, before dividing the sheets, to add a characteristic, postage stamp perforation and to make everything look like it was real.”
